MATRIX PLUS ™ REFERENCE MATERIALS FOR CALIBRATION VERIFICATION OF CHEMISTRY ASSAYS AVAILABLE FROM VERICHEM

VERICHEM LABORATORIES now offers clinical laboratories their multi-analyte and completely liquid stable MATRIX PLUS™ Chemistry Reference Materials which are expressly designed for the calibration verification of wet chemistry assays on diagnostic instrument systems. The multi-level and ready-to-use MATRIX PLUS™ Chemistry Reference Materials Kit, along with the optional and stand-alone Level F, support overall system QC and CLIA compliance, while serving as valuable tools in determining a clinical system’s bias to the true, or known, value. Certain to address the needs of a variety of laboratory professionals involved in routine clinical testing, research applications, or in-vitro diagnostic product manufacturing, this comprehensive six–level set of materials contains seven individual chemistry analyte components, covering a total of 48 separate and individual concentration levels. The available analytes include Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN), Calcium, Creatinine, Glucose, Magnesium, Phosphorus, and Triglyceride and are suitable for use on multiple analyzers utilizing a wide variety of testing methodologies, including visible spectrum, ultraviolet, kinetic, and/or endpoint.

All of Verichem’s MATRIX PLUS Chemistry Reference Materials incorporate a buffered protein based matrix for serum-like reactivity and is intended to be treated just as a patient specimen with clinical testing systems.  The formulation displays remarkable optical clarityand is free of glycols, surfactants, azide and other interfering substances. By maintaining a constant protein content and neutral pH across concentration levels, the unique formulation and CLSI EP06-A set point design of these reference materials are crucial for the independent determination of test method accuracy, sensitivity, linearity and reportable range. Plus, the use of highly purified source components, and the liquid stable format, eliminates matrix variations and reconstitution errors common experienced with lyophilized, or other serum-based products.  Most important is that each active component is verified using available Standard Reference Materials from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and fully documented with a Certificate of Analysis containing lot-specific testing data. In addition, Verichem’s MATRIX PLUS Chemistry Reference Materials are conveniently packaged for multi-use and are filled within easy-to-use, opaque polyethylene dropper vials containing an   ample 15.0mL fill volume to cover multiple verification testing and troubleshooting events, while featuring an exceptional open-vial product stability claim of twenty-one (21) months from date of manufacture.

For close to four decades, VERICHEM LABORATORIES has served the clinical laboratory testing and in-vitro diagnostic R&D and Manufacturing markets with a comprehensive line of clinical reference materials, calibration verification products, chemistry standards, linearity confirmation materials, and support services  ̶  including FREE online  data  reduction and comprehensive test reports for full CLIA compliance.
